Keagan Carr-Fransch

keagancarrfranschKeagan is a member of the National Performers’ Committee, and a founding member of the Equity Diversity Committee, now called Advocates for Inclusion. She began acting in 2004 when she moved to New Zealand from Zimbabwe. She participated in the Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival in 2004 which led to her being selected to travel and perform at The Globe Theatre in London with the 2005 Shakespeare Globe Centre New Zealand Young Shakespeare Company.

 She majored in Theatre Studies at the University of Waikato from 2006 to 2008, and was part of Hamilton-based theatre production company Carving in Ice from 2007 to 2010. Keagan moved to Wellington to begin her training at Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School in 2011, graduating in 2013. That year she was cast in a supporting role in the NZFC short film “Dancers”, directed by Louise Leitch, and in 2015 was cast in a supporting role in Disney’s “Pete’s Dragon”. "
