Fees and Casting Briefs
Equity reminds all performers that if you go for an audition for a drama and there is an indicative fee on the casting brief, this is only an indication of what you may be paid for performing the role.
Your agent will still attempt to negotiate a higher fee for you.
Attending an audition for a drama where there is an indicative fee on the casting brief does not bind you in any way to accepting that fee. You only accept the fee when it is negotiated as part of your contract, which you will sign later on.
All performance fees for a drama should be negotiated between your agent and the producer as part of your formal contract negotiations.
The case is different for TV commercials where pre-casting briefs usually have set fees.
